According to Counterpoint Research, the number of 5G capable smartphones in use in the country has crossed 5 crore. Counterpoint Research data reveals that 5G smartphones will account for 29% of total shipments in the second quarter of 2022. Shipments of not only 5G smartphones but also 5G tablets to India are increasing.

According to Cybermedia Research, 5G tablet shipments in India grew by 71% year-on-year in Q2. Leading telecom companies Airtel 5,000 and Jio 1,000 have already rolled out their coverage plans for top cities. It seems that fifth generation wireless networks are likely to be available to everyone.
