Minister KN Nehru’s purchase of a Toyota Land Cruiser luxury car, which is not yet available for sale in India, has become a topic of conversation on social media. If we book now, we will see the features of that car which will be available after 4 years.

Land Cruiser is one of the famous models of Toyota which manufactures various cars globally. It is capable of traveling on any terrain be it rough roads, thorny forests or sandy deserts.

The LC300 comes equipped with four-zone climate control and 7 seats, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a 14-speaker JBL audio system.

There’s also off-road kit like hill-assist control, driver assistance systems and a four-camera panoramic view monitor. Powered by a 3.3L twin-turbo V6 diesel engine, this car has a maximum mileage of just 4 km per liter of diesel.

This Land Cruiser car was the favorite car of many leaders including Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin, late former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.

Currently, the Land Cruiser LC Toyota is going to launch the Sahara version of the 300 in India soon. The new model has added some additional features and due to the shortage of semi-conductor during the Corona period, it has been unable to produce in sufficient quantities. So, Land Cruiser LC. Toyota plans to sell the 300 in limited numbers only.

Even though the price of this car is around 2 crore rupees, once the money is paid, it is not available. The waiting period for booking a Land Cruiser car and buying it in hand is now 4 years, which was earlier 6 months. There is no announcement of a sale in India yet.

Generally, there are two types of luxury cars, either completely built abroad or by importing spare parts and building them locally. Many cars are manufactured in India as the import duty on spare parts for cars is low.

However, since luxury cars are often imported fully assembled, import duty is payable along with the car price.

That means if you import a car worth Rs 2 crore, you have to pay tax on the same Rs 2 crore. By doing so the total cost of the car will be Rs 4 Crores. After that, registration fee, state government taxes, insurance fee will cost several lakhs. This is why many people are reluctant to import cars that are completely built abroad.

But many celebrities want us to use that car in front of everyone and spend crores to buy it. That’s how Municipal Administration Minister KN Nehru bought this car and is driving
