Hyundai Santro became very popular in the Indian market. But this time the tour of such a model ended in India. The Hyundai model was launched in India in 1997. Tall boy design, large cabin, powerful engine made this car popular.

Hyundai, a South Korean carmaker, has made Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan its brand ambassador. As a result, the move helped them gain popularity in the Indian market.
In 2014, the Santro First Generation was discontinued in India. In 2016, the second generation was stopped in this country. In the beginning this car was very popular.

Production of Santro started at Sriprembudur plant near Chennai in Tamil Nadu. Launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.99 lakh. It was so popular in India that 60,000 units were sold in the first two years.
Following the success of the first model of the Santro, the company launched the Hyundai Santro Xing in India in 2003. It received many cosmetic updates, including many new features and an update engine. Santro Xing was well received in the Indian market.

As the popularity of models like Hyundai Eon, i10, Elite i20 grows, so does the sales of Santro. And this time the company decided to stop selling Santro in the Indian market.
