The Kia EV6 is a beautiful electric car. It draws on Kia’s new design philosophy and body lines. It has 20-inch puns-spoke machine-cut alloy wheels, which give it a sporty look.
The EV6 is launching globally in 6 color options, including Steel Matte Grey, White Pearl, Midnight Black, Runway Red, Interstellar Grey, Yash Blue, and Steel Matte Grey. It measures 4695mm in length, 1890mm in width, 1550mm in height, 2900mm in wheelbase, 490 liters of boot space and 155mm in ground clearance.
The Kia EV6 gets the option of two different battery packs. It gets a 58 kWh single and a whopping 77.4 kWh battery pack. The company is based on this type and boasts a driving range of up to a maximum of 500 km on a single charge. It can also be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just 18 minutes using a 350 kW DC ultrafast charger and a 50 kW DC fast charger in 73 minutes.
The 58 kW battery-spec model of the Kia EV6 can have a 170 hp single-motor and RWD layout or a 235 hp dual-motor and AWD layout. The larger 77.4 kW battery pack is available with two variants, a 229 hp single-motor RWD and a 325 hp dual-motor AWD with a drivetrain. In addition, the top-spec GT variant with dual-motor set-up and AWD develops 585 hp and 740 Nm of peak torque.
Pre-bookings for the Kia EV6 will start in India from May Only 100 units of electric vehicles equipped with this technology will be offered in the country. It can be priced between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 60 lakh. When launched, the Kia Kia EV6 will compete with the Hyundai Ioniq 5, MINI Cooper SE and Volvo XC40 Recharge.
