French carmaker Citroen has launched the much awaited new C3 hatchback in the Indian market. The all-new 2022 Citroen C3 has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 5.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
Citroen is currently launching the C3 in India to compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Tata Punch and subcompact SUVs like Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. The company had earlier launched the C5 Aircross in India. The Citroen C3 will be the company’s second launch in the country.
This car model is available in 10 color options, 2 variants and 2 powertrain options. Live Trim for Rs. Launched at a starting price of Rs 5.70 lakh, Citroen has priced the top-spec Feel trim at Rs 8.06 lakh. Bookings for the French automaker’s high-riding hatchback have been open since June at dealerships and on the company’s website at a token amount of Rs 21,000.

Citroen C3 has 2 petrol engine options. The first is a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated unit producing 82hp and 115Nm and mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Another is the 1.2-litre. 3-cylinder turbo-petrol unit (110hp and 190Nm) mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The fuel efficiency figures claimed by the naturally aspirated engine and the turbocharged engine are 19.8 kpl and 19.4 kpl respectively. The Citroen C3 offers a lot in terms of features. The car has many features like 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, audio and phone controls on steering wheel, 4 speakers, front and rear USB charging ports.
With 90% localization, this Made-in-India model is the first product in the C-Cubed family. And it is manufactured at its manufacturing plant in Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. The bookings for this car are already open and the deliveries have started from yesterday (20th July).
