TitTok Music App | There are reports that TikTok is planning to launch a music app to compete with leading music apps like Spotify and Apple Music.
TikTok is one of the apps that revolutionized the internet. There is no country without Tik Tok which has gained millions of users but Tik Tok has been banned in some countries including India. TikTok ban in India has some other short videos in their favor. For example, almost all TikTok users have switched to Instagram. Instagram is also currently offering new options that include all the features of a short video app like TikTok. In this situation, there are reports that TikTok is planning to launch a music app to compete with leading music apps like Spotify and Apple Music.
TikTok’s parent company ByteDance already has a music app called Resso, which is also present in India. TikTok’s parent company, Byte Dance, has reportedly filed an application for a trademark under the name ‘TikTok Music’ with the US Trademark Office in May. Based on the registration of this trademark application, TikTok Music users may receive various services. There are various services that allow users to listen, share and download music and songs, as well as purchase them for a fee.

In addition, users can post their comments on the music files on the site, create playlists, share and recommend others. In addition, the company has mentioned in the trademark application that the feature of live streaming audio and videos has also been added.
It is worth noting that the app, which is only in use in India, Brazil and Indonesia, has various services as detailed in the trademark application mentioned above. Brazil TikTok users also have a direct option to use Resso. This means that if you like a short video on Tik Tok, Brazil Tik Tok users have the option to go directly to Resso and enjoy the full song featured in that video.
In India, Brazil and Indonesia, the Resso app has a total of 4 crore monthly users. The company also informed that this is a big start for a newly launched app. Apart from that, Resso has grown very fast in India since TikTok was banned in India. Notably, in the one-year period from January 2021 to January 2022, Resso has seen a growth of 304%. Undeniably, this phenomenal growth is shaping up to be a huge competition for various music apps, including the already popular Spotify, YouTube Music, and Apple Music, exclusive to Apple users.
